TruVideo, the leader in AI video communication technology for the transportation industry, today announced it is now compatible with AI glasses from Meta. This new technology will enable technicians to inspect, verify, and log any service needed directly through voice command, saving dealerships valuable time and avoiding costly mistakes.

While TruVideo customers have already been using AI glasses from Meta in the field, technicians will now be able to start and stop video recording in TruVideo solely with voice commands, delivering greater transparency and a better customer experience.

“We’ve been working closely with the Meta AI glasses team for the past few months. The technology wasn’t ready out of the box for the technician and sales workflows we run in automotive, so we’ve been building it to fit how dealerships actually run,” said Douglas Chrystall, Co-Founder and CTO of TruVideo.

TruVideo’s integration with the DMS platforms used across auto and commercial truck dealerships means the transcription from Meta’s AI glasses technology now drops seamlessly into the dealership’s existing processes and through the workflows teams already use.

“Making this work on a busy service drive takes more than putting a camera on someone’s face,” said Chrystall. “We built compatibility with AI glasses from Meta into the same workflows technicians already run in their dealership systems, so there’s nothing new to learn and the video flows straight to where the work happens. That foundation is what lets us go further.”

After the launch of the voice-based Meta AI glasses, TruVideo plans to introduce an intelligent voice assistant that understands each vehicle’s service history and guides the technician step by step through the work, providing even more time-saving measures.

“Service techs shouldn’t have to choose between doing the job and documenting it,” said Joe Shaker, Co-Founder and CEO of TruVideo. “Being compatible with Meta’s AI glasses lets our customers put recording in the flow of service, voice start and stop, both hands free, and create the kind of transparent customer experience dealerships need.”
