fal today launched developer and enterprise access to Muse Image, the agentic image generation and editing model from Meta Superintelligence Labs, available now through Meta Model API on fal. Muse Image plans a request, calls tools, and reviews its own output before returning it.

Most image models map a prompt straight to pixels in a single pass. That works for simple prompts and can break down on complex briefs, which is why production teams end up stitching together several models and running rounds of manual cleanup. Frontier pricing has made the highest-volume workloads, ad variant generation, catalog imagery, and per-user personalization, economically prohibitive at exactly the scale where they matter most. Muse Image changes both sides of this equation.

The model uses a planner plus diffuser architecture, with tool calls and refinement inside a single chain of thought. It searches the web for real references, which measurably improves factual accuracy on knowledge-intensive prompts: accurate logos, real places, working charts, and scannable QR codes. It writes and runs code for precise visual elements. And it checks and corrects outputs before returning them  so multi-part briefs come back right rather than approximately right.

One model covers three workflows that usually require three vendors:

  • Generation plus precise editing. Generate a design, then change one element while everything else stays pixel-identical. One call for both.
  • Conversational multi-turn refinement. Build a single asset across many turns without quality drift.
  • Reference-driven composition. Feed a brand kit and sample assets, then generate new on-brand work matching style and subject across people, products, and environments.

Muse Image also shares tools and plans with Muse Spark, so a single request can return animated GIFs, sites with embedded images, and interactive visual output rather than a flat file.

Muse Image is available today at fal.ai, with full pricing published on the model page. Developers can start in the interactive playground or go straight to the API.
